Breaking News - Redhook Brewery Expands Blonde Ale Selling Season

April 20, 2000 -- Pioneer Washington Brewery Rolls Out Seasonal 12-Packs

With spring in the air and liquid sunshine turning into real sunshine in the rainy Pacific Northwest, Redhook Ale Brewery officially released its much-anticipated Blonde Ale on April 1, 2000. Redhook Blonde Ale is one of the best selling seasonal brews in the country and is now available in a convenient 12-pack.

“When consumers ask for something, we listen”, says Pamela Hinckley, Redhook’s Vice President of Marketing. “The evolution of the category now merits seasonal beers in 12-packs. We have seen a continued shift in consumer purchasing habits from 6-packs to half-cases. The overwhelming success of last winter’s Winterhook 12-packs merits the addition of Blonde Ale half-cases this year. The trend reinforces consumer confidence in our brand and the specialty beer category.”

Redhook describes their Blonde Ale as “a flavorful ale with the delicacy of a lager, appealing to a wide range of beer drinkers.” The distinctive flavors come from six different malts: 2-row, Caramel 10, Munich, Cara Pils, Cara Vienna and malted wheat. Saaz hops gives the beer a bright, refreshing taste and aroma.
