Breaking News - 8th Annual Charleston International Beer Festival
July 31, 2001 -- Brews and tunes in Charleston
The brews will be flowing, the tunes will be jamming and the taste buds will be watering during The 8th Annual Charleston International Beer Festival! South Carolina's oldest and largest celebration of the brewers art will be held on Friday Night, October 19th at Omar's Shrine Temple in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
In addition to over 100 American and International ales, stouts, lagers, pilsners, specialty brews and alternative beverages; the festival will also feature a Hot & Spicy Food Court with Wings, Ribs, Chili, Jambalaya, Gumbo, Seafood, Sausage, Creole, BBQ, Etouffe, Pizza, and other tasty ethnic foods from local restaurants. Plus, the Beer Fest Stage will be rocking with live music from Lance Starr's Reggae Express and one other Charleston area band.
Tickets for the 8th Annual Charleston International Beer Festival are only $25.00. The ticket price includes beer samples and the music. The first 1000 guests also receive a complimentary beer festival collectors glass. A percentage of the proceeds that are received from ticket sales will be donated to our charity, "Charleston Animal Rescue". Since 1994, the Charleston International Beer Festival has raised more than $8,000 for animal related charities in the Charleston area and we look forward to increasing that amount once again this year.
The Charleston International Beer Festival will be held rain or shine. Designated drivers are permitted into the festival for $ 5.00. Discount taxi service will also be available. No pets or anyone under 21 will be permitted in the festival area.
