November 29, 2000 -- Top Brewing Suppliers to Create Nation's Largest Brewing Marketplace at BrewExpo America 2001
More than 120 of the top suppliers of brewing products and services in the world will gather in Portland, Oregon this April to create America‚s largest brewing marketplace at BrewExpo America 2001, the nation's most important annual trade show for the professional brewing industry. BrewExpo America is a one-stop shopping opportunity for brewpubs and breweries from across America - a chance for owners, managers and brewers to both learn more about new products and services and purchase trusted standbys. Suppliers from across the nation and around the world, including many companies from the restaurant industry, will showcase their wares in exhibition booths during the Expo, forming a vibrant brewing marketplace for two days in April.
BrewExpo America is part of the National Craft Brewers Conference, presented by the Institute for Brewing Studies at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon from April 4 - 7, 2001. The Expo will be open during the Conference from 11:00 am to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7. More than 1,000 representatives from breweries across America are expected to attend the Craft Brewers Conference, the nation's largest annual gathering of the professional brewing industry.
"The Craft Brewers Conference brings the entire beer community together to share ideas and conduct business," comments Nancy Johnson, Events Director for the Association of Brewers, parent company of the Institute for Brewing Studies. "BrewExpo America is the prime event for industry decision-makers to view available products and services and to purchase what they need to keep their breweries running smoothly."
In addition to the brewing marketplace, BrewExpo America will feature technical posters, as well as a number of presentations and discussion sessions on the BrewExpo America stage, adding to the numerous learning opportunities already offered by the Conference. The Expo will also offer an opportunity to win a trip to the 2001 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colo. during Exhibitor Bingo and a silent auction to benefit Jim Parker, the Director of the Oregon Brewer's Guild who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
