May 19, 2000 -- Three Floyd’s to Sell Hammond Brewery on eBay
Officials at Three Floyd’s Brewing Company have announced plans to put their original brewery on the on-line auction site eBay. Three Floyd’s has recently moved into newer and bigger facilities to keep up with the growth of the popular brewery. Three Floyd’s brands are not a part of the package.
The brewery is a turnkey operation. The new owner can basically just walk in a start brewing. Equipment that is included in the sale is as follows:
5.5 barrel Pierre Rajotte Brewhouse - Mash/Lauter tun, Direct fire brewkettle
12 bbl Hot liquor Tank
Four 16 barrel shallow, open fermenters - the famous Hammond Squares
Two Horizontal conditioning tanks: 1,000 gal and 1,500 gal.
Two 5.5 barrel Pierre Rajotte unitanks
Two 7 bbl grundy tanks
2-roller Economill from Outterson
Two-pass Laffranchi Heat Exchanger
One 500 gallon water chiller
One 16x17x9 walk-in cooler
Brewer’s work table
Yale fork-lift
Three pumps
Three sets of pallet racking
Approximately 600 H-S kegs:
550-15.5 gal, and 50-7.75 gal.
One Franken-brew keg washer
Bulk CO2 tank installed.
Along with this the new owner will also be able to work with Nick Floyd, brewmaster and owner of 3 Floyd’s, to better understand the system.
The auction is tentatively set to start Memorial Day weekend and run for 10 days. The Sale site will also be able to be viewed at 3 Floyd’s Website at http://www.threefloyds.com.
