Breaking News - Full Sail ESB Now Available For Spring in A New Package

March 15, 2000 -- Purple Power Packaging Piques People's Passions

Hood River, Oregon - Drinking Full Sail's Extra Special Bitter (ESB) is reminiscent of a session spent in an English pub. This style originated in England and is known for its full flavors and smooth drinkability. Like its famous English kin, Full Sail E.S.B. is brewed with several types of imported crystal malts and balanced with English Target and East Kent Golding hops. Full Sail's ESB is a copper-colored brew that has a mild caramel sweetness that's complemented by a fresh hop aroma and balanced with a delicate bitterness. ESB is available seasonally March through May. ABW 4.4% ABV 5.5%

Developed by Full Sail Brewmasters James Emmerson and John Harris, ESB now returns for the fifth year running in a newly designed package in vivid shades of purple. Full Sail's entire line of packaging has been redesigned and will be released alongside ESB this March. The packaging prominently features the beer style and Full Sail's well-established logo - the "Full Sail" with a background illustration of majestic Mt. Hood. Each label and carrier will include a statement of the brewery's employee-ownership and commitment to quality. "We wanted to convey the message to consumers of what employee ownership means. To us, it means the ultimate commitment to quality from each employee-owner and that commitment is extended to our customers in every beer we brew", said Irene Firmat, Full Sail Founder and CEO.
