H.C. Berger Bottles It Up

April, 1998

H.C. Berger Brewing Company of Fort Collins has stepped up to the plate, investing in a new (to them) Krones bottling machine. Peter Davidoff, head man at H.C. Berger realized that product stability is key to long-term success in the bottle beer market, and acquired the Krones as part of the long-term solution.

Low air inclusion at bottling time is one determinant of long shelf life and the Krones filler has a reputation for being one of the lowest on the market. The capacity of the machine is such that it is currently being run at a fraction of its top speed, allowing for the future expansion that is very much in Davidoff's plans.

H.C. Berger is busily staking out the high end of the beer market, attempting to position its products in the same vein as top-quality wines. Much effort has been exerted to put their brews in the hands of upscale chefs and restauranteurs.
